One of the finest burgers I've ever had!
Set foot into this place for a get-together, and this place was PACKED on a weekday evening. It took us quite a while to find a table, but the waiters were patient enough to endure the rush. We ordered Fish Tacos, Custom Pizza, Sweet Potato Fires and the Mushroom Veggie Burger! Every item was good, but my picks are the Sweet potato fries and the Burger!
The service was good and would return for sure.
Ate here several years ago under a different name. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Beer selection was great and the food was excellent. Will definitely return.

I was doing an assignment in London for a few days, and The Bungalow showed up on the Zomato app as a popular place, so I headed there for dinner one evening. This is one of those restaurants that violates the principle of location being so important. The Bungalow is in the middle of a residential neighbourhood, and there aren’t any other businesses for several blocks. The small parking lot was full, as was the main floor of the restaurant (unless I wanted to sit at the bar). Fortunately they have a second floor, which was not completely full.
While they do have a reasonably large menu, it appears that they are best known for their gourmet burgers. You can build your own burger, starting with one of the following patties: beef, lamb, turkey, wild boar, buffalo, tuna, salmon, portobello. Pick from one of ten cheeses, and six bun options. There are additional meat toppings also available. Or you can choose from one of their eleven signature burgers ($14.99-$15.99), which come with one side. There are 18 sides, six of which are no additional cost.
I picked the Nicky-John Burger, which was created by John on an episode of “You Gotta Eat Here”. A juicy lamb patty, with creamy, salty goat cheese and tzatziki, peppery arugula, onions and roasted red peppers, on a fresh sesame bun. Each bite was mouth-watering.
For my side I upgraded to the Onion Rings. There were at least six large rings, with lots of crispy batter and lots of sweet, soft onion. One of the better sets of rings that I have had in a while.
Service was pleasant and friendly.
Visited again 2018/11/18, this time with SWMBO. She had the Hawaiian Pizza (with Pulled Pork), which she liked very much. I had the Wild Boar Burger. It was a bit dry, but had lots of flavour.
I dined with my son we both agreed, Cassandra our waitress was friendly, helpful and prompt 5/5. The atmosphere pub,/restaurant we had different views son gave it a 4/5 (pub feel) I thought it needed some paint 3/5. The burgers where good 3.5/5 sides where disappointing fries n Caesar.
What makes the burgers awesome is the unlimited free toppings.
You want jalapeño cilantro on your burger? Sure! Sliced chorizo? No problem!
And their tater tots are fantastic. They're not like your average cafeteria taters, the hopped onion and aren't greasy at all and staff are so helpful.
Had a wonderful burger night
My fiancé and I just moved to London and we love this spot. The build your own burger option is fun and delicious. Considering you get your choice of party, bun, cheese, one additional meat and unlimited toppings the price is incredibly reasonable. We’re going again tonight for what I’m sure will be another amazing meal!
I often like to try odd combinations and flavours, so I really like all their burgers options. I've been here twice now, and gotten a fairly interesting burger each time.
I can't remember what I got the first time, but most recently it was: beef, on a pretzel bun, with gruyere cheese, jalapeno-cilantro aioli, roasted garlic, and fresh basil. Admittedly, that's a lot of very strong flavours so I couldn't taste the beef much, but that's my fault more than the restaurant.
If you like unique burgers and you're tired of places like the works, definitely go here.
Food was really good! The grilled salmon was great, and the burger were also really well made. As for the sides, the sweet potato fries and the Caesar salad were great, but the potato fries were disappointing at best. Would come here again no doubt, wouldn't get the fries though.
I have been going to the Bungalow for years, finally brought the camera to take some pics and write a review. I usually come when I am craving a burger or want to show someone new a great spot to grab a burger mind you I have had the club house sandwich in the past. The Caesar salad is my go to side dish when I am not craving the onion rings which are 'bomb' as well. They have a pretty good selection of draft beers as well. I had a Forked River Weendigo Stout which was great and local.
The cool thing about the Bungalow is you can build your own burger and you don't have to pay extra for toppings (except for extra cheese or meat) which is not the case at some of the competition. If the kitchen isn't to busy you can even order a fried egg to top your burger with for a little extra. Creating your own burger can be a bit of a downfall sometimes depending on your bun/topping selection which may result in a sloppy burger but you can really only blame yourself as you are the one that created it. The other great thing is they have a selection of burger/topping combinations if you don't feel like creating your own masterpiece.
The Bungalow has a warm atmosphere, the service is usually really good. Like other reviewers have indicated it can get a little hectic in there when its busy, its tight in there and I could see peoples frustrations with waiting at the bar for a table to open up. The kitchen can also get a little backed up when its busy too but if you came for fast food you picked the wrong establishment, great food takes time.
My oldest son and mines fave date spot. He gets the fish.. Super greasy but he likes it and there's enough there for 2!!! I get a burger ... there's like a million options you can do!! All in a nice atmosphere great portion size great taste fair price for what you get. It just gets super busy need more staff
The Early Bird is a great restaurant in downtown London for Breakfast or brunch. I did not know what to expect, but place was great. Decor is fun (to say the least) and very casual and the atmosphere is fun and easy going. Can't say enough about the decor, your first visit here will be a lot of fun. Food is great!!! Some unique menu items that you will not find in most breakfast places and executed very well. I had the cuban sandwich which was excellent and so was the mushroom toast. Place is very popular and not very big, so you are asked to wait outside before your table is ready.. which is not ideal when its raining, but worth it.
Service was good, food was delicious, prices are a bit on high side, but food is definitely worth it. Many more items on the menu that I will try on my next visit for sure.
Excellent food at a reasonable price. Had the croque madame special, it was delicious. The homemade duck bacon was a great addition to the mushroom toast. Turducken sandwich was decent. The music was a little loud but it fit the atmosphere. Having to wait outside was fine, but it would be nice for a bell or something to let them know you're there. Have gone a few times, enjoyed it each time.
The food was really good. Had their avocado Benny and chicken waffle. They both are nice. Chicken had a bit of oil on it but it was moist and delicious so extra oil can be forgiven for sure. I don’t like potatoes that much personally so I can’t comment on home fries. Other than that ambience was good. I shall come back for sure
A cool place to have breakfast in downtown London. The menu is extensive and prices are reasonable. It was busy but the tables turned over quickly.
The Early Bird Surprised me in the best way possible, by having amazing food! The pancakes were thick and fluffy, the bacon was thick and crispy. This was worth every penny! I got the stacker, and would highly recommend to anyone wanting some sweet and salty.
5 Stars across the board!
Just relocated back to London and came across this gem! Incredible menus, breakfast to dinner, flavours to quantity you won't be disappointed.
Pictured are the breakfast burrito and the "fat Elvis" French toast. Amazing!!
People talk about The Early Bird. It has over a thousand reviews and a decent rating…, but does it live up to all the hype?
The pricing isn’t overly expensive. Their food is creative and unique; they put their own spin on classic dishes and even invented some! They serve a delicious eggs Benedict with avocado and tomato. And they serve a dish called the Fat Elvis that has peanut butter, French toast, bacon, and deep fried bananas.
The atmosphere is fun, stylish and casual. The walls are decorated with pop culture references accompanied by fitting music.
This restaurant is great. It should be high on your list because it offers tasty food and appealing ambience. One of the best in London!
Just great.
Arrived in Canada a few days ago. Locals recommended this place so took the family here this morning for breakfast. A great sign when there is a Q outside before opening!
We had a range of breakfasts for adults and kids and all was really well prepared and tasty.
Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing.
Only snag was we only ordered one pancake between the lot of us and that was so good we’ll have to go back for more.
Love, love, love The Early Bird. There is so much to love about the early Bird. Located on Talbot Street just South of the The Covent Garden Market Bld. It is a great diner. First: Easy parking. Second: Great service. Third: Awesome food. Our server was plain awesome. They start serving lunch a bit early which worked out great for us. Coffee was great. Portions are huge and likely you will take some food home. Highly recommend.
One of my fav places to go in London. They are always playing classics on the TV, and the decor is cool. The food was delicious as always and good portion sizes. The staff members are always super friendly and informative. Would highly recommend.
